Gibre Himamat 3.1.1

The Gibre Himamat application serves as a digital reference for the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo church’s Holy Week liturgical texts. Originating from the traditional Gibre Himamat, the book encompasses readings pertinent to Palm Sunday through Easter, including Holy Monday, Holy Tuesday, Holy Wednesday (Spy Wednesday), Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday, and Easter celebrations. Its content integrates scriptures from the Holy Bible, Orthodox Canonical texts, the Synaxarium, accounts of miracles associated with Jesus Christ and Saint Mary, prophecies, prayer books, Haymanote Abew, and additional collections.

The application adopts a material design framework, facilitating offline reading with user comfort in mind. Beyond Gibre Himamat, it also includes Tsome Digua and other fasting readings relevant to the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo tradition.
